About $ides
Built for the group chat.
We took the strategy of fantasy, the thrill of parlays, and the chaos of your group chat — and turned it into a daily sports game.
Why We Built It
Sports are social. The games around them aren't.
There's a disconnect in sports right now. Watching and talking about sports is deeply social — it happens in group chats, on social media, over drinks. But the actual games built around sports prediction are weirdly solo.
Every product was designed for one person. You can follow what your friends are playing. You can copy a pick. You can see their slip. But the experience still belongs to one person.
$ides is built around competing together. Your crew. One shared outcome. Real stakes.
What Is $ides
A team-based sports prediction platform.
$ides is a team-based sports prediction platform. Groups of friends compete together for real money in best-of-7 matchups against other groups.
Each day, every player selects one pick from the Pick Menu. Your team's five picks go up against theirs. Score more points, win the day. First team to win four days takes the matchup — and the money. 💰
Just pick, play, and compete — the way sports are meant to be: together.
It's about staying in touch with the crew and talking 💰 & 💩 about the thing we all love — sports. Oh, and did I mention? One team is guaranteed to win money.

Pick Rules
—
Picks are first come, first served within your team
—
No duplicate picks within your squad
—
You can see your teammates' picks in real time as they're made
—
Competing teams operate from the same pick menu. Matching selections are neutralized and have no impact on the result.
—
Opponent picks are hidden until both lineups are finalized or 4:00 PM ET — whichever comes first
—
Missed pick: No pick submitted before the Pick Menu closes = 0 points for that day
The War Room
Every matchup includes a team group chat — your hub for strategy, coordination, and banter. Coordinate picks, trash talk, and react as results come in. The War Room acts as a live feed throughout the matchup.
Tiebreakers — The Faceoff Pick
The Faceoff Pick only applies if a day ends in a tie. Each day, the team with home court advantage votes on which side of the pick they want — majority rules. The opposing team is automatically assigned the other side.
Faceoff Pick: Trea Turner — Over/Under 1.5 Total Bases 3 teammates vote Over, 2 vote Under → your team takes Over Opponent gets Under
If Trea records 2+ total bases → your team wins the day
Home Court Rotation 🏠
We follow a 2-2-1-1-1 format — the same structure used in the NBA Playoffs.

FAQ
Quick answers.
Everything you need to know about playing $ides.
The Game
$ides is a team-based sports prediction game where friend groups compete head-to-head for real money.
Instead of one person making picks in isolation, $ides turns sports prediction into a shared team competition. Your group plays together, strategizes together, and competes in a best-of-7 series against another team.
Every other product in this space was built for one person. $ides is built for the team.
1. Form a team of five. Invite your friends and create your crew. 2. Choose your buy-in. Pick how much your team wants to play for. 3. Get matched. $ides pairs you against another team at the same buy-in. 4. Make daily picks. Each day, every player selects one pick from the same Pick Menu. 5. Win the series. Most points wins the day. First team to win four days takes the series and the pot.
You're not tailing your friends. You're competing with them.
Most sports prediction products are built around one person predicting one outcome. $ides is built around something different: a rivalry-forming, best-of-7 series between two teams.
Because the game is team-based, every player contributes to a shared outcome. You can carry your team, get carried by your team, or have one big day that swings the series.
You could personally miss every pick and still win money because your team picked you up.
That's what makes $ides different: one team, one opponent, one shared result.
Winning & Payouts
Winning the series is the main event — first team to win four days takes the pot. But there are additional ways to earn on top of that:
Series Win — Win four days. Take the pot. Dream Team — All five players hit their pick on the same day. Heating Up — Any player hits three picks in a row during the series. Sweep — Win the series without dropping a single day.
Bonuses stack on top of the series payout and are earned independently.
During the beta, payouts are handled offline by the $ides team. During onboarding, we will contact players with more details on how this works. Once a series ends, winnings are paid out promptly — reach out if you have questions about a specific payout.
When the full app launches, payouts will be processed automatically in-app.
Picks & Scoring
Single — Hit it, your team earns 1 point. Miss, 0. Home Run — A harder pick or two-leg combo. Hit it, your team earns 2 points. Miss, 0. Lock — Each player gets one Lock per series. Apply it to any pick to double that pick's point value. Once used, it's gone for the rest of the series.
The team with more total points wins the day.
No. Once confirmed, your pick is locked.
The only exception is if your pick gets voided. In that case, you'll be notified and may be able to select a replacement before the Pick Menu closes.
If you don't submit before the Pick Menu closes, your pick scores 0 points for that day.
Your team doesn't lose points, but you miss the chance to contribute. $ides will send reminders before the menu closes — and your War Room probably will too.
Before the Pick Menu closes: You'll be notified and can choose a replacement before 4:00 PM ET. The replacement must come from an event that hasn't started, still be available on the menu, not already be claimed by a teammate, and match the same pick type.
After the Pick Menu closes: The Pick Menu reopens for you only. You can select a replacement from eligible picks that haven't started and are still available.
If your original pick had a Lock applied, the replacement doesn't need to use it. Your captain can also make the replacement pick on your behalf if you're unable to in time.
If no valid replacement is available, the pick scores 0 points.
Yes. Both teams select from the same Pick Menu. If both teams choose the same pick, that selection is neutralized and has no impact on the day's result.
Within your own team, picks are first come, first served. Once a teammate claims a pick, it's gone for your squad.
Game Rules
The Faceoff Pick decides it.
The team with home court advantage votes on which side of the Faceoff Pick they want. Majority rules — the opposing team automatically gets the other side.
If the day doesn't end in a tie, the Faceoff Pick doesn't factor in.
Home court follows a 2-2-1-1-1 format — the same structure used in the NBA Playoffs. Home court means your team controls the Faceoff Pick if a day ends in a tie.
Games 1–2: Team A · Games 3–4: Team B · Game 5: Team A · Game 6: Team B · Game 7: Team A
A series cannot end in a tie. If Game 7 is tied, the Faceoff Pick decides the series winner.
The War Room is your team's group chat inside the app — your hub for strategy, coordination, and banter. Coordinate picks, trash talk, and react as results come in. The War Room acts as a live feed throughout the matchup.
Team & Roles
Captains serve two key roles.
Backup pick selection — If a pick is voided and a teammate can't replace it in time, the captain can step in and submit the replacement on their behalf.
Team coordinator — Captains help organize daily strategy and keep teammates accountable for getting picks in on time.
You can see your teammates' picks in real time as they're submitted.
The opposing team's picks are hidden until 4:00 PM ET, or until both teams have finalized their picks — whichever comes first.
They score 0 points for any picks they miss. The team keeps playing.
If it becomes an ongoing issue, your captain can place them on Injured Reserve. From that point, the captain submits picks on their behalf for the remainder of the series.
No to both. Each player can only be on one active team at a time, and $ides requires a full team to enter a series. It's not built for solo play.
Logistics
Once your whole team confirms the buy-in, $ides matches you against another team at the same stakes.
The Pick Menu will include picks across NBA, NFL, MLB, WNBA, and soccer. Golf and tennis are coming soon.
The Pick Menu opens at 11:00 PM ET the night before and closes at 4:00 PM ET the following day.
You can make your pick in 30 seconds or spend all day in the War Room debating the board. Once picks are in, the games play out on their own.
You'll get a push notification when the Pick Menu opens and a reminder before it closes.
Your War Room will handle the rest.
Yes. After a series ends, you can propose a rematch. The opposing team has to accept — if they decline, you'll be matched against a new team.
Not yet — but it's coming.
The Beta
$ides is currently invite-only. Approved beta players will receive instructions for downloading the app, joining or creating a team, and entering their first series.

We believe there are more fun, engaging, and social experiences to be built for people who love winning money around sports.
We want to build games people can't wait to keep playing — and the best way to do that is to build based on how people actually experience the game.
We're focused on getting it right before opening it up. If something is broken, confusing, or could be better, we want to know.
Reach out directly to the $ides team. During the beta, we're monitoring every series closely and will respond fast.
